My wife and I lived at 3215 - 26A Street SW for about 20 years. That is about three and a half blocks from Viscount Bennett in the little "triangle" defined by Crowchild Trail to the east, Richmond Road to the north and 33rd Ave SW (where the hedge is) to the south.
When we bought our bungalow in about 2002 we wanted to add a second floor. And the community was involved and helpful, but the city held our feet to the fire on every detail - in particular, they limited the height to 29 feet 2 inches and watched that like a hawk to ensure our house fit in and was not too large or high for the…
