Nordic Pole Walking Tours/Fall Prevention Talks

Join City representatives on a guided tour that explores the history, ecology and special significance of our Calgary Parks and discover the basics of Nordic Pole walking on safe, paved and cleared pathways You will learn more about the proper pole walking techniques that will enhance core, balance, posture and confidence. Nordic poles will be sanitized and provided. Each event will also host a short presentation by the Alberta Health Services Fall Prevention clinic.


These events are being held at the following locations:

  • Monday, November 9th, 1-2 p.m., Stanley Park at Riverdale Ave & 4 St. S.W.

  • Wednesday, November 28th, 1-2 p.m., Baker Park at 9333 Scenic Bow Rd N.W

  • Saturday, November 28th, 1-2 p.m., West Nose Creek Park, 300 Beddington Trail N.E.
