Community Clean-Up

We have teamed up with Killarney-Glengarry. All Community Clean-up activity will take place at thier community hall at 2828 28 St SW.

This year we will be accepting garbage, organic materials, metal recycling, electronic recycling and clothing donations! Learn more about which items we will accept HERE and below:

Waste materials

The City of Calgary will supply three packer trucks with crews (two for waste and one for organic materials)

Items garbage trucks will not accept

Garbage trucks will NOT accept the following items:

• Car batteries Glass (e.g. window panes, glass table tops)
• Household appliances with Freon (e.g. refrigerators, freezers)
• Microwaves Liquids (e.g. cooking oils)
• Large metal items (e.g. lawnmowers, barbeques)
• Rail way ties Sod or dirt
• Household hazardous waste including: Propane tanks / Paint / Automobile, cleaning, healthcare, and gardening chemicals

Yard Waste

Leaves, branches, plants, grass clippings and other yard waste (excluding sod) will be accepted for composting. Yard waste must be separate from other items.

Clothing Donations

Gently used or new garments will be donated to the Cerebral Palsy Alberta.

Bring slightly used items and pick up new items from our swap table.

Our Community Assocaition helps run programming, keeps residents informed and builds community in our neighbourhood. We would love for you to join us!  We will have a table set up during Community Clean Up, for new members to register.
