If you're looking for ways to explore the natural areas of Calgary and learn a few things, the City of Calgary has set up a number of self-guided walking tours.


The City of Calgary self-guided walking tours highlight stunning landscapes, rich history, diverse ecosystems and interesting wildlife. Choose from a range of walking tours across Calgary, with stops carefully selected by our environmental education staff to help you discover local sites on your own.


The city currently has self-guided tours of Bowmont Park, Elliston Park, Griffith Woods Park, Inglewood Bird Sanctuary, Mahogany Wetlands, MidSun to Sun Valley Blvd walkway, Taradale Wetland Park, 12-Mile Coulee, West Nose Creek Park, and Ralph Klein Park.
