Final Chance to Have your Voice Heard Regarding the Future of Richmond Green

The land use amendment application to redesignate the Richmond Green Park site is going to Council on July 26, 2021. The application will redesignate the site from S-R Special Purpose – Recreation to MU-1h14 Mixed Use – General District and MU-1h22f2.0 Mixed Use – General District which will allow for multi-residential building types including townhouses and apartments with the option to include commercial – with potential heights up to 22 metres. The anticipated tax base would be 100 townhomes, 250 multi-residential and 25,000 sq ft of commercial. In addition, the application includes a policy amendment to the Revised Currie Barracks CFB West Master Plan to remove the site from parks/open space designation and redesignate to allow residential/commercial.

If you would like your voice heard on the matter, the most effective is to speak at the online council meeting and submit comments.

The deadline to participate to speak or provide comments is July 19, 2021, at 11:00am.
