The Richmond/Knob Hill Community Association makes every effort to keep track of development and planning proposals including transportation, roads, park and playground development, and traffic issues.  The City of Calgary will periodically consult with the community association on these issues.

Paint the Pavement

Paint the Pavement was originally conceived as a volunteer led initiative that promotes "place making" and community building through art.  Anecdotal evidence also suggests it can be an effective traffic calming tool.  The RKHCA Traffic Committee saw it as a fun creative way to draw attention to locations that are of particular concern with respect to speeding, cut through traffic and children's safety.

We are permitted one location per year by Calgary Roads.  We are currently targeting Spring 2011 to host our first event.

West LRT Project

Each Commuity Association bordering the West LRT alignment appointed a Community Traffic Representative. Once construction begins, if you see or experience a traffic issue in your community due to West LRT construction please download the Community Traffic Issue Form, fill it out and submit it through your Community Association for review by the Representative. The City will only review or consider traffic issues once endorsed by the Representative and signed off by the Community Association.
